MESSAGE
Film is, first and foremost, about movement. As an artform, it constantly reinvents itself. As a technology, is it continually reimagining its possibilities. As an industry, it is forced to adapt to real-world events such as financial collapses or the recent pandemic. And, finally, as an experience, films are about moving viewers; stirring their emotions and making them reconsider the world in new ways. In my classes, I tackle all these ways in which we respond to film and invite students to interrogate their own engagement with film.
